Stromae is a Belgian singer-songwriter. Most if not all of his songs are in french and now you are probably thinking, "how the heck will I like his music if I can't even understand it?" And I am here to tell you it doesn't matter! I first heard of Stromae from my french class because my professor always plays french music before the lecture starts and normally I ignore it (which makes me sound terrible). Although one faithful morning I actually paid attention to the youtube video playing Papataoutai
by Stromae and *BAM* I instantly fell in love with the song.

I would describe Stromae's kind of music as electronic hip-hop/r'n'b. All his songs have amazing instrumentals that are captivating and one cannot help but tap their feet or nod their head. If you are anything like me and it is very difficult for you to stay still, you will dance uncontrollably to his music. Besides being very upbeat his songs have amazing lyrics, I know.... I know... you are thinking, "But its in French!" I know the lyrics are amazing because I take french and I can understand some of the words and out of curiosity I translated the lyrics online and the song Papataoutai is about the emotional absence of a father in someone's life and in the music video it takes a comedic and meaningful approach in portraying that.

I feel Stromae is a very talented artist and everyone should hear his music at least once.

College Sophomore: Dorm Room

Hello there Internet and welcome to ma crib! This is my place to be lazy without any judgment. By now everyone should know my obsession with black, white and simplicity when it come to home decor. I decided that this year I am going to apply my interest for the monochrome look to my mini heaven.

Oh! You can check out my dorm room from last year here!

Fall Trend: Sweaters Over Dresses/Skirts

I've been looking at coverage of New York Fashion Week and London Fashion Week mainly because it has been all over my newsfeed from every single social media I am on. Don't get me wrong I love it! I'm just upset cause I want to be there not here in college taking my midterm exams.

Anyways staying on topic, I have been noticing a huge trend on the runway as well as the street style from bloggers, fashion goers and so forth that an oversized sweater over a dress or a skirt is the way to go among the fashion community. I am extremely pleased with this up and coming trend because one does not have to break the bank account to buy the "latest trends" because all you have to do is use what you already have. I believe everyone as a dress and a sweater so all you have to do is put the two together and voilĂ ! You got yourself a complete outfit!

Current Perfume/Fragrance Collection

1.Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs | 2.Daisy by Marc Jacobs | 3.Splendor by Elizabeth Arden | 4.Green Tea by Elizabeth Arden | 5.Black XS by Paco Rabanne | 6.Burberry Brit | 7.Thierry Mugler Womanity | 8.Paris In Bloom by Bath & BodyWorks

These are my most recent collection of scents. My all time favorite is Daisy by Marc Jacobs, which I talk about in more detail here although I have been shifting towards Burberry Brit recently which reminds me of a "woman on the go" kind of scent. It is very elegant and not too strong but long lasting. My least favorite is Thierry Mugler Womanity only because the scent is overwhelming and too harsh for me although in very small doses it is good for a night out. All in all I am very fond of all these scents and if you get the chance, check them out!

A huge staple piece for the fall and winter months is a trusty coat preferably a super cozy one. These are a few that have caught my eye and I need the top left grey one in my life! I am looking forward to autumn just so I can break out the boots, sweaters and through on one of these coats.
